NICOLA
BOWDEN
PRINCIPAL
NICOLA BOWDEN, A.R.A.D., P.D.T.C.Dip., trained at the Arts Educational
School (London). After graduating she joined the Vienna Festival
Ballet Company, touring the UK and Europe. Nicola was soon invited
to dance a number of soloist roles, including Clara in the Nutcracker,
Little Swans in Swan Lake, Floresten in Sleeping Beauty, Pas-de-Six
in Giselle as well as the principle role in Tales of Vienna Woods.
Nicola left to join the Dancer's Company where she performed in
a wide range of classical and contemporary works created by internationally
renowned choreographers. After completing a year touring Europe
with The Wiener Ballet Theatre Company Nicola attended the Royal
Academy of Dancing Professional Dancer's Teaching Course, graduating
with Distinction in 1991. Since graduating Nicola has taught at
Elmhurst, Italia Conti and at The Arts Educational School (Tring),
as well as being invited by The Royal Academy of Dancing to teach
at schools and seminars in England and abroad. Nicola Bowden joined
London Junior Ballet in 1996 and became the Principal in 1999.
She continues to teach at the Arts Educational School (Tring)
Junior Associate Department. In 1998 Nicola opened her own ballet
school in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire.
